IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay — Employment opportunities opened for jobseekers as the PESO Ipil Job Fair 2026 officially kicked off today, July 20, at the Bong Go Covered Court in Taway, Ipil, as one of the highlights of the 77th Araw ng Ipil celebration.

The two-day activity, scheduled on July 20 and 21, 2026, brought together 21 employers and agencies offering various employment opportunities to applicants looking for jobs and career advancement.

According to Municipal Mayor Ramses Troy D. Olegario, the participation of the 21 employers and agencies provides a valuable opportunity for Ipileños and nearby residents to access available job openings and directly connect with companies and institutions looking for qualified applicants.

The mayor encouraged jobseekers to maximize the opportunity, emphasizing that employment programs remain among the priorities of the local government in helping residents achieve better livelihood opportunities and economic stability.

He also expressed his gratitude to the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE) for its continued partnership and support in bringing employment-related programs closer to the community.

“This is not only part of our celebration of the 77th Araw ng Ipil, but also a meaningful service to our people,” Mayor Olegario said, highlighting that providing access to employment opportunities is an important step toward improving the lives of families and strengthening the local economy.

The PESO Ipil Job Fair serves as a venue where applicants can meet employers, submit applications, inquire about available positions, and explore possible career paths without having to travel far from the municipality.

Applicants were encouraged to bring updated résumés, valid identification cards, and other employment requirements to take full advantage of the opportunities offered during the two-day event.

The job fair is among the activities lined up for the 77th Araw ng Ipil, reflecting the local government’s commitment to combining cultural celebration with programs that directly benefit the community.

Through the collaboration of LGU Ipil, the Public Employment Service Office (PESO), DOLE, and participating employers, organizers hope that the activity will help connect more Ipileños to meaningful employment opportunities.
