LTO Liloy District Office Officially Opens, Bringing Transport Services Closer to Residents
Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay — Residents of Liloy and nearby municipalities now have more convenient access to essential land transportation services following the official opening of the Land Transportation Office (LTO) Liloy District Office on August 10, 2026.
The new district office marks another step toward decentralizing government services and reducing the need for residents to travel to other areas to process transactions involving driver’s licenses, vehicle registration, permits and other LTO-related concerns.
The opening ceremony was attended by Liloy Municipal Mayor Roberto Lim Uy Jr. and Congressman Adrian Michael A. Amatong, reflecting the local government and congressional leadership’s support for bringing national government services closer to communities.

For residents, the new facility means less travel time and expense, particularly for those who previously had to go to another municipality or city to access LTO services.
Beyond convenience, the opening also represents an effort to strengthen the delivery of frontline government services at the local level. Having an LTO office within the municipality is expected to make transactions more accessible while supporting more efficient and responsive public service.
Local officials welcomed the development as an important addition to Liloy’s growing complement of government services, particularly as the municipality continues to serve as a center for communities in northern Zamboanga del Norte.
