Spectacular Fireworks and First-Ever 3D Projection Lights Dazzle Overflowing Crowd at Provincial Capitol Lights-On Ceremony

Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay - A breathtaking blend of spectacular fireworks and the first-ever 3D projection lights display in this part of the country illuminated the Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Capitol on the night of December 5, 2025, drawing an overflowing crowd eager to witness this year’s historic Lights-On Ceremony. For the province of Zamboanga Sibugay, this was another first in history.

Residents from across the province and even neighboring areas filled the capitol grounds as excitement built toward the countdown. When the switch was finally flipped, the entire capitol burst into vibrant colors, brought to life by intricate 3D projection mapping that painted moving images and festive animations across the building’s façade.

Moments later, the sky erupted into a dazzling fireworks spectacle, with radiant bursts reflecting off the illuminated structure. The synchronized interplay of pyrotechnics and 3D visuals created a stunning, immersive show that left many in awe.

The festivities were also amplified by the spirited Drum and Lyre Competition earlier in the day, culminating in Marian College, Inc. being proclaimed the grand champion.

Governor Ann Hofer, expressed her joy and pride in bringing this milestone celebration to the people of Zamboanga Sibugay. She shared how thrilled she was to introduce the province’s first-ever 3D projection lights, describing it as a gift to the Sibugaynons and a symbol of the province’s continuous progress and creativity.

Local officials also noted that this year’s groundbreaking display marks a new benchmark for the province’s holiday festivities, setting an inspiring tone of unity and celebration for the season.

With festive music, food stalls, vendors, and lively performances filling the grounds, families and visitors enjoyed a joyful night that many described as the most memorable Lights-On event to date.

As the final fireworks lit the sky, the crowd responded with resounding applause, marking the 2025 Lights-On Ceremony as a spectacular and historic start to Zamboanga Sibugay’s holiday season.
