Hofer-Hasim Ranks Among ZamPen’s Top 3 Lawmakers in Latest Governance Survey

IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay - Zamboanga Sibugay 2nd District Representative Hon. Marly Hofer-Hasim has secured a spot among the top three performing members of Congress in the Zamboanga Peninsula, according to the latest “Boses ng Bayan” Governance Assessment conducted by RPMD Foundation Inc.

Hofer-Hasim placed within the Top 3 of the regional rankings, earning an Index of Governance (IOG) score of 81.4 percent. The result reflects strong public approval of her performance and continued trust from constituents, particularly in delivering services and maintaining close engagement with communities.

The survey highlights a growing preference among voters for leaders who remain visible and accessible on the ground, while effectively carrying out their legislative responsibilities. Hofer-Hasim’s ranking underscores her consistent presence in the district and her responsiveness to the needs of the people of Zamboanga Sibugay.

Also included in the regional assessment is Marlo Bancoro, representative of the province’s 1st District, who garnered a 72.3 percent IOG rating, placing him among lawmakers who achieved strong levels of public trust and performance.

The RPMD survey, conducted from April 1 to 8, 2026, gathered the views of 5,000 registered voters across the Zamboanga Peninsula. It measured both trust and performance indicators, combining them into a single governance index that reflects overall public satisfaction with elected officials.

For Zamboanga Sibugay, Hofer-Hasim’s Top 3 placement signals robust support for her leadership and highlights the province’s continued presence among the region’s most recognized performers in public service.
