Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay — The Municipal Government of Payao, under the leadership of Mayor Joshua Mendoza, continues to provide immediate assistance to families affected by the recent whirlwind and flooding, as relief operations remain in full swing across the municipality.

On July 12, Mayor Mendoza personally led the distribution of relief goods to residents whose homes were damaged by a whirlwind in Barangay Poblacion and to families from Barangay Guiwan currently taking shelter at the evacuation center in Barangay Kulasian after being displaced by flooding.

The relief operation was strengthened through the support extended by the Office of Civil Defense (OCD) and the Provincial Government of Zamboanga Sibugay, through the Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (PDRRMO), which provided additional relief supplies to augment the municipality's disaster response efforts.
