Over 200 AIM High College Graduates Finally Set to Receive TORs After CHED Issues Special Orders; Hofer-Hasim's Intervention Brings Relief to Hundreds of Former Students

Ipil Zamboanga Sibugay – More than 200 graduates of AIM High College from the Class of 2025 are expected to finally receive their long-awaited Transcript of Records (TORs) following the issuance of the corresponding Special Orders (SOs) by the Commission on Higher Education (CHED)—a significant breakthrough after months of uncertainty that prevented many from taking board examinations and securing employment.

The release of the Special Orders marks a major milestone for the graduates, who have been waiting since their graduation in 2025 for their academic credentials. The development came after the intervention of Second District Representative Dr. Marly Hofer-Hasim, whose office took up the concerns of the affected students earlier this year.

According to the graduates, the more than 200 students who stand to benefit from the latest issuance represent only a fraction of more than 500 former AIM High College students who sought the assistance of the congresswoman.

The students narrated that when they approached Hofer-Hasim's office in March 2026, they had already been waiting several months for the release of their Transcript of Records. They said they were informed that CHED had yet to issue the required Special Orders, preventing the school from releasing their official academic records.

Because of the delay, many graduates were unable to take the licensure examinations for their respective professions, while others failed to qualify for employment opportunities because they could not submit their TORs and other official school documents required by prospective employers.

Recognizing the urgency of the situation, Hofer-Hasim immediately sought clarification from the CHED Regional Office.

During the inquiry, the congresswoman learned that complaints involving the school had already been raised previously but had remained unresolved. The affected graduates likewise disclosed that they had repeatedly sent emails to CHED requesting updates on their concerns but allegedly received no response.

Determined to resolve the matter, Hofer-Hasim elevated the issue to the national level by seeking a meeting with CHED Chairperson Dr. Shirley C. Agrupis, personally bringing with her the documents and supporting records prepared by the students to ensure that their concerns would be thoroughly discussed and acted upon.

During the discussions, the congresswoman also discovered that the delay in the issuance of the Special Orders stemmed from the fact that no request for the issuance of the SOs had yet been submitted by the school, preventing CHED from processing the graduates' records.

Following the intervention, the processing of the documents proceeded.

The Office of Congresswoman Hofer-Hasim has since received information that more than 200 Special Orders have already been issued, paving the way for the release of the graduates' Transcript of Records.

The issuance of the Special Orders is expected to allow the school to finally release the graduates' official academic credentials, including their TORs, which are essential for board examination applications, employment, graduate studies, and other official transactions.

Hofer-Hasim expressed hope that the remaining graduates who are still awaiting the issuance of their Special Orders will also have their concerns resolved soon.

The congresswoman emphasized that her foremost concern has always been the welfare of the affected graduates, many of whom have already lost valuable opportunities because of circumstances beyond their control.

She said these young professionals deserve the chance to finally begin building their careers, take their respective licensure examinations, pursue meaningful employment, and finally enjoy the fruits of the education they worked so hard to achieve.

With the initial batch of Special Orders now issued, hundreds of AIM High College graduates are expected to take a significant step forward as they finally secure the academic credentials they have long awaited, while efforts continue to ensure that all remaining affected graduates likewise receive their Special Orders and Transcript of Records without further delay.
