PRO 9-Led Regional Operation Nabs Top 8 Most Wanted Person

IPIL, ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY - Police Regional Office (PRO) 9, through the coordinated efforts of the 2nd Zamboanga City Mobile Force Company (ZCMFC), General Tinio Municipal Police Station of PRO 3, Zamboanga City Police Station (ZCPS) 12, Regional Intelligence Unit 9, and the Technical Support Company, RMFB 9, successfully carried out an intelligence-driven operation that resulted in the arrest of a Top 8 Most Wanted Person at the regional level.

The operation was executed at Panama Drive, Barangay Mampang, Zamboanga City, where authorities apprehended a 45-year-old female businesswoman, single, and a resident of Farmers Drive, Mampang.

The suspect was arrested by virtue of a warrant for Estafa through Falsification of Commercial Document, issued by the Municipal Trial Court, General Tinio, Nueva Ecija (Third Judicial Region) dated February 27, 2023.

Following her arrest, the suspect was brought to ZCPS 12 for proper documentation and disposition, prior to the return of the warrant to the issuing court for further judicial action.

Police Brigadier General Edwin A. Quilates, Regional Director of PRO 9, praised the seamless coordination among the involved units, noting that the arrest underscores PRO 9’s unwavering commitment to pursuing wanted persons and safeguarding communities.

“Through intelligence-driven operations and strengthened collaboration with other regional units, PRO 9 continues to work toward a safer and more secure Zamboanga Peninsula and Sulu, ensuring that law violators are brought to justice,” PBGen. Quilates said.

He emphasized that this accomplishment is aligned with the operational directives of the Acting Chief, PNP, Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencio C. Nartatez Jr., particularly the intensified campaign against wanted persons across all regions.
