Young Visitors Bring Messages of Gratitude and Faith to Titay Firefighters
Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay - A simple gesture from young members of the Seventh-day Adventist Church brought warmth and encouragement to the personnel of the Titay Municipal Fire Station (MFS) as the children visited the station to express their appreciation for the firefighters’ dedication and service to the community.
The young visitors arrived carrying handwritten letters filled with messages of gratitude, admiration, and encouragement for the men and women who continue to respond to emergencies and protect lives and properties.
Through their heartfelt notes, the children recognized the bravery, sacrifices, and commitment of firefighters, whose work often requires them to face challenging and dangerous situations. They also shared selected Bible verses and words of faith, reminding the personnel that acts of service and compassion create a lasting impact on the lives of others.
The meaningful gesture brought smiles and inspiration to the fire station, serving as a reminder to firefighters that their efforts are valued and appreciated by the community they serve.

Beyond the exchange of letters, the visit also became an opportunity for the firefighters to educate the young guests about fire prevention and safety. Personnel conducted an interactive storytelling session where the children learned about the importance of fire awareness, proper actions during emergencies, and the need to know emergency contact numbers.
The firefighters also encouraged the children to become safety advocates at home by practicing fire prevention habits and sharing what they learned with their families and friends.
For both the children and the fire personnel, the activity became more than a simple visit—it became a meaningful connection between the community and those entrusted with protecting it.
While the young visitors gained valuable knowledge on fire safety, the firefighters received something equally significant: words of appreciation, prayers, and encouragement that strengthened their commitment to continue serving the people of Titay.
The Titay Municipal Fire Station emphasized that public service is not only measured by the number of emergencies answered, but also by the trust, relationships, and positive connections built with the community. In moments like these, the support and gratitude of the people serve as a powerful reminder of why they continue to answer the call of duty.
