Zamboanga Sibugay Bet Wins Media Choice Bronze in Miss Philippines Earth 2026 Event
Ipil, ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY, June 12, 2026 — Zamboanga Sibugay’s lone representative to the Miss Philippines Earth 2026 pageant continues to make her mark on the national stage after earning the bronze award in the Media Choice category during a recent pre-pageant event.
The recognition was announced following the “Media Moments at DENR” on June 10, where candidates showcased both style and environmental awareness in the Upcycling Casual Chic Competition. The event highlighted creativity and sustainability, key advocacies of the Miss Philippines Earth pageant.
In the special awards for “Darling of the Press,” Tayabas City secured the gold medal, followed by Cebu City with silver, while Payao, Zamboanga Sibugay proudly claimed the bronze distinction.

The Upcycling Casual Chic Competition, which challenged candidates to transform recyclable materials into fashionable pieces, was topped by Tamauini, Isabela, with Marikina City and Malaybalay City placing second and third, respectively.
Zamboanga Sibugay’s bet drew praise from members of the media for her poise, confidence, and strong environmental advocacy, further strengthening her position as a contender in the prestigious pageant.
