Bayan ng Ipil to Host Grand Christmas Treat for Kids; Free Food, Fireworks, and Carnival Fun Await
IPIL, ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY - The holiday magic in Ipil is set to reach a new high as the local government and community partners host the Bayan ng Ipil Grand Carnival on December 23, 2025. The event is designed as a collaborative "Grand Christmas Treat," bringing together the local government, private sponsors, and local vendors to give back to the residents of Ipil.
In a show of holiday spirit and gratitude, the event features a unique partnership. According to Mayor Ramses Troy Dy Olegario, the initiative was sparked by local vendors who volunteered to provide free snacks and drinks as a way of saying thank you for the support they have received from the community throughout the festivities.
"This is their way of giving back and showing appreciation for the opportunity given by the LGU and to the people who visited the carnival each night, and to the Ipilenos in general for the warm support shown to the during the entire celebration," Mayor Olegario said.

To ensure every child feels the joy of the season, the event offers free admission to the carnival and a wide array of treats. Organizers have noted that these freebies are available until supplies last, so families are encouraged to arrive early.
The holiday spread for the children includes:Free Spaghetti Packs and Buns, Free Ice Cream and Cotton Candy, Free Drinks and Free Christmas Photo Booth (with hard copies to take home) The Carnival Management has committed to providing free entrance for all and a spectacular fireworks display to cap off the night. While the LGU and various sponsors are funding the ice cream and photo booth, the majority of the food and drinks are being provided directly by the local vendor community.
The success of this holiday treat is made possible through the support of Atong Ipil, Atong Garbo, the Ipil Tourism Office, and several local.
Mayor Olegario is encouraging all residents to bring their families to enjoy the festive atmosphere. "Let us enjoy the spirit of Christmas together as one community," the Mayor added.
