Pop Rock Diva Gigi De Lana to Headline ‘Pasko sa Sibugay 2025’ Tonight
IPIL, ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY - The holiday spirit is set to reach fever pitch as Asia’s New Gen Pop Rock Diva, Gigi De Lana, takes center stage for a massive concert tonight, December 20, at the Ipil Central Sports Complex.
The event is the centerpiece of the Pasko sa Sibugay 2025 festivities, organized as a special holiday treat for Sibugaynons by the Provincial Government under the leadership of Governor Ann K. Hofer.
The concert, which offers free admission to the public, promises an "epic night" of music and high-energy performances. Doors open at 4:00 PM, giving fans the chance to secure their spots for what is expected to be an unforgettable holiday celebration.
Joining Gigi De Lana on the roster are several premier bands from across the Zamboanga Peninsula, showcasing the region's diverse musical talent such as the SharpNail Band of Ipil, Soriano Band of Pagadian City, Beyond Acoustic of Dipolog City and Quitenoize Band of Zamboanga City.

Gigi de Lana, who is headlining the Pasko sa Sibugay 2025 concert tonight, first gained national recognition as a standout contender on the popular singing competition Tawag ng Tanghalan on It’s Showtime.
During her time on the competition in 2016, she performed under her real name, Mary Gidget dela Llana. She became a fan favorite for her powerful vocal range, delivering memorable performances of songs like "Araw Gabi" and "Defying Gravity." Gigi was a defending champion and successfully reached the semifinals and eventually the Grand Finals of the show's first season. She later rebranded as Gigi de Lana, a name she felt represented her growth as an artist. This transition helped propel her to viral fame with her band, Gigi Vibes, leading to her current status as a "New Gen Pop Rock Diva."
Governor Hofer’s administration envisioned the concert as a way for the province to celebrate the season "Big, Loud, and Unforgettable." By bringing a nationally recognized artist like Gigi De Lana to Ipil, the provincial government aims to provide a world-class entertainment experience accessible to all residents of Sibugay.
