Massage Therapist Arrested in Buy-Bust Operation in Ipil
IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay - A 26-year-old massage therapist was arrested by operatives of the Station Drug Enforcement Team (SDET) of the Ipil Municipal Police Station during a buy-bust operation conducted at around 7:00 p.m. on May 30, 2026, in Purok Bagong Silang, Barangay Veterans Village, Ipil.
The male suspect is a resident of Purok Venus, Bangkerohan, Ipil, was newly listed as a street-level individual (SLI) involved in illegal drug activities.

Authorities reported that approximately one gram of suspected shabu, with an estimated street value of ₱6,800, was recovered from the suspect. Also confiscated were a ₱500 marked bill, a mobile phone, a coin purse, used aluminum foil, and two sets of needles believed to be drug paraphernalia.
The seized substances will be submitted to the Zamboanga Sibugay Provincial Forensic Unit for laboratory examination.
The suspect is currently under police custody at the Ipil Municipal Police Station detention facility and is set to face charges for violation of Republic Act 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002, through inquest proceedings.
