Ipil Sports Clinic 2026 Set
Ipil, Zamboanga Sibugay, April 17, 2026- The Local Government Unit of Ipil, through the Ipil Sports Council, has officially announced the conduct of the Ipil Sports Clinic 2026, scheduled from May 4 to 9, 2026, at the Ipil Multi-Purpose Government Center, Taway, Ipil.
The announcement comes as a result of a recent meeting convened by the chairman of the Ipil Sports Council, Mayor Ramses Troy Olegario, aimed at strengthening grassroots sports development and expanding opportunities for young athletes in the municipality. The program is designed to enhance sports skills, discipline, and teamwork among youth while identifying and developing potential athletes who may represent Ipil in higher-level competitions.
Registration for the sports clinic is free and open to all residents of Ipil aged 17 years old and below. The activity will feature a wide range of sports disciplines including basketball, volleyball, athletics, football/futsal, boxing, Muaythai, swimming, badminton, chess, gymnastics, dance sports, table tennis, lawn tennis, pickleball, sepak takraw, arnis, wushu, and billiards.

Registration will run from April 20 to 30, 2026, at the IMGC (Municipal Building) in Taway. Participants are required to present a valid ID and birth certificate.
Officials emphasized that the initiative seeks to promote discipline, teamwork, and a healthy lifestyle among the youth while strengthening Ipil’s representation in competitive sports at regional and national levels.
Mayor Olegario, through the Sports Council, encouraged eligible youth to take part in the program, highlighting it as an opportunity for sports development and personal growth. The LGU reaffirmed its commitment to nurturing young talent and building a stronger sports culture in the municipality through sustained grassroots programs.
