Ipil Officials Inspect Road Improvement Project in Doña Josefa
IPIL, Zamboanga Sibugay — Municipal officials of Ipil have stepped up field inspections of ongoing infrastructure projects as part of efforts to ensure that government-funded developments are carried out as planned.
One of the projects recently checked by the municipality is the road concreting project in Purok Talisay, Barangay Doña Josefa, which involves the improvement of a 60-linear-meter access road with a width of four meters.
The inspection brought together the Municipal Administrator and personnel from several municipal offices, including the Municipal Engineering Office, Municipal Environment and Natural Resources Office (MENRO), Municipal Planning and Development Office (MPDO), Budget Office, Assessor’s Office, and Accounting Office.
ADVERTISEMENTRecords from the LGU show that the project carries a contract price of ₱998,994.16, with funding sourced from the municipality’s 20% Economic Development Fund.
The road project is expected to improve mobility within the community by providing residents with a more accessible route for their daily travel and the movement of goods and other necessities.
The municipality said infrastructure improvements such as road concreting are part of its continuing efforts to address local access needs and strengthen basic facilities in barangays.
Beyond checking the physical progress of projects, the LGU said its regular inspections are also intended to ensure that public investments are properly monitored and that government resources are used responsibly.
The municipal government stressed that continued field validation and coordination among concerned offices are essential in tracking project implementation and promoting transparency, accountability, and proper delivery of government-funded projects to the communities of Ipil.
