Asia Academic School OIC Shot Dead in Zamboanga City
with reports from Ely DomabocIPIL, ZAMBOANGA SIBUGAY – At around 6:20 PM on November 29, 2025, a concerned citizen reported an alleged shooting incident along the boundary of Divisoria and Lumbangan, in Zamboanga City, prompting an immediate police response.
Upon receiving the report, PCPT Dexter Villanueva and the Alert Team of ZCPS5 proceeded to the location. Initial investigation revealed that the victim, identified as Abdalrahman Elshawadfy Mohammed Elfaky, an Egyptian national and resident of Matina Aplaya, Davao City, was on board a gray Toyota Innova with plate number NHM 1461 at the time of the incident.

According to witnesses, the suspect was riding a single motorcycle, although the color of the vehicle and the suspect’s clothing remain unclear due to limited visibility and the speed of the assailant’s escape.
ZCPS5 immediately coordinated with Milky Way (Zamboanga City Police Office Headquarters) to alert nearby police stations and other units to conduct checkpoints and Oplan Sita operations in an effort to intercept the suspect. A thorough investigation is currently underway to establish the identity of the suspect and determine the motive behind the shooting.
